About the conference

The conference is being held jointly with GFRAS (http://www.g-fras.org/en/) and follows the 2017 GFRAS Annual General meeting to be held in Ingham, North Queensland. The conference is an international meeting for rural advisory practitioners, researchers and academics that combines the best extension research and practice from developing and developed countries. In North Queensland we have both wet and dry tropical agriculture and a very large marine park that is managed for a range of uses. We will showcase the integration of production and natural resource management extension in the wet and dry tropics that focuses on achieving outcomes that meet the environmental needs of the rainforest and reef as well as the economic and social needs of dryland and irrigated agricultural production in the tropics. Key conference themes are:

  • Gender balance and affirmative action
  • Planning, monitoring and evaluating
  • Developing agricultural innovation systems
  • Building social capital and resilience
  • Incorporating new media in extension
  • Policies and trends in rural advisory services
  • Achieving health, NRM, production and social outcomes

The Australasia-Pacific Extension Network (APEN) is a professional organisation for extension workers and those interested in extension (http://www.apen.org.au/). APEN members are involved in community and rural development, adult education, communication, industry collaboration, industry development, industry services and other related fields. Our network represents over 450 extension professionals across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.

APEN conference Call for Abstracts

We are inviting submission of abstracts of potential presentations at the conference. Options for presenting may include oral presentations of approximately 20 minutes, soap box presentations of approximately 10 minutes, poster presentations, workshops, open space and panel discussions. Based on the abstract, your preferences and timeliness of submission and registration, the Conference Program Committee will allocate presentation times and formats. If your paper is accepted for presentation in one of the formats:

  • Presentation option confirmed on program when presenting author registered
  • Abstract will be included in the conference program (early submission improves presentation choice)
  • You will be eligible to publish your paper in the Research or Practice sections of the Rural Extension and Innovation Systems Journal provided it meets the standards required. Eligibility 

  • The applicant must be the student who are enrolled in a university with a student exchange agreement with Mie University (IPB is included),
  • The applicant must have the purpose of auditing specific subjects (for special auditing student) or must have the purpose of doing research at Mie University (for special research student). The applicant must have basic knowledge of either or both Japanese and English

Application procedures

  1. Submit all application documents in a clear-green folder to DITMAWA by 6 March
    2017
  2. Application documents will be submitted to Mie University collectively by IPB

PERSYARATAN:

  1. Telah mengambil MK. BERFIKIR DAN MENULIS ILMIAH (KPM 100) dan lulus dengan huruf mutu minimal AB
  2. IPK sampai dengan semester terakhir yang telah ditempuh ≥ 3,00
  3. Memiliki jadwal kosong selama semester genap 2016/2017 pada hari Kamis 13.00-15.00.
  4. Melengkapi persyaratan administrasi sebagai berikut:
  • Daftar riwayat hidup terbaru yang memuat foto diri
  • Transkrip nilai semester terakhir yang telah ditempuh dan/atau transkrip nilai yang memuat MK. BERFIKIR DAN MENULIS ILMIAH (KPM 100)

Diberitahukan kepada para calon wisudawan Program Pendidikan Doktor (S3), Magister (S2), Profesi Dokter Hewan (PPDH), dan Sarjana (SI) IPB, bahwa Upacara “Wisuda dan Penyerahan Ijazah” Tahap VI Tahun Akademik 2016/2017 yang semula dijadwalkan tanggal 8 Maret 2017 DIUNDUR menjadi pada hari Rabu tanggal 22 Maret 2017 bertempat di Grha Widya Wisuda (Grawida) Kampus IPB Dramaga, dengan rangkaian Upacara “Wisuda dan Penyerahan Ijazah” mulai pukul 07.30 s/d 12.00 WIB. Perubahan wisuda tahap VI 2016/2017 dilakukan sehubungan dengan perubahan wisuda tahap V 2016/2017 yang berdampak terhadap pengembalian toga (tgl. 23 s/d 27 Januari 2017).

 

PENDAFTARAN ULANG:

Bertempat di Loket pelayanan Direktorat Administrasi Pendidikan IPB, Gedung Andi Hakim Nasoetion Lantai I, Kampus IPB Dramaga, dimulai tanggal 6 s/d 10 Maret 2017 setiap hari kerja pukul 08.00 s/d 15.00 WIB, untuk Pengambilan Undangan Wisuda, dan Peminjaman Toga.

Call for Abstract: The 24th Tri-U Joint Seminar and Symposium

 

About the Program

The three universities – Mie University (Japan). Chiang Mai University (Thailand), and Jiangsu University (China) – are the founder universities of Tri-U IJSS; and therefore, the event was named “Tri-University International Joint Seminar and Symposium”. Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) started to join this event in 2003 and has been participating continually since then. Due to this consistent participation and its good achievement the participating students have shown, IPB was accepted as the 4th founder university in 2009 and first hosted the 19th Tri-U IJSS in 2012. IPB was also successfully hosted the 23rd Tri-U IJSS in 2016. This year The 24th Tri-U IJSS will be held in Mie University Japan at 23-27 October 2017. This event offers young scientists and students a unique opportunity to exchange their ideas on the topics of e Population, Food, Energy, Environment and new frontiers.

 

Eligibility

  • Full-time students of IPB (S0/S1/S2/S3) with the age less than 30 years old.
  • Students must be enrolled in IPB during this program
  • Students submit an abstract according to the below requirement before the deadline

 

 

Abstract Requirement and Submission

  • Abstract must be from the research result (data from PKM/ PKL/ KKP activities are also eligible)
  • Literature study will not be accepted
  • Abstract must be written in English (200-300 words)
  • Title, student name, student ID, Department, Faculty, e-mail address and cellular phone number must be clearly indicated in the abstract
  • Topics: Population, Food, Energy, Environment, and Children
  • Please send the abstract to subditpkmipb@gmail.com with the subject e-mail: TriU2017-name-studentID-Department-Faculty by March 3,2017 at 15:00 at the latest
